About Age UK North Yorkshire Coast and Moors

We offer a befriending service to help combat loneliness for people who are feeling lonely and isolated. We have a befriending coordinator who will match a volunteer to a client, we try to match up a client and volunteer with similar interests in common. They then can meet up via a home visit or be taken out to a local tea room, garden centre etc. After time we find that they both become very friendly with each other and have a great rapport.
