Ben View
About Ben View
Our befriending service reduces loneliness and isolation among older people by providing regular companionship and support. Trained volunteers offer conversation, emotional support, and a friendly presence through home visits, creating a sense of connection for those who may otherwise feel disconnected. We also arrange outings to local cafes, parks, and events, encouraging individuals to engage with their community with the support of their befriender.
Befriending visits help reduce isolation and loneliness, promoting well-being, increased happiness, and improved mental health. Having someone to connect with boosts confidence and provides a sense of belonging. For those without regular connections, this support is invaluable, offering companionship that helps them feel more connected and supported within their community.
