Care and Share Companionship
About Care and Share Companionship
Care and Share Companionship supports people over 60 years of age who are living in isolation or feeling lonely. We offer face to face and telephone support plus special social events and outings from our volunteer companions on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Volunteers can take people to health appointments, shopping, visit to family or friends, going for a walk or to a place of interest to them. They can visit at home and enjoy having a chat, finding out about the person they visit over a cuppa. This can also give respite to carers to have a little me time. This is a free service. A small courtesy payment is requested for a refreshment for the volunteer if people wish to go out for a cup of tea or coffee.
