About Demelza Hospice Care for Children

Demelza Hospice Care for Children provides specialist care and emotional support for children with serious or terminal conditions and their loved ones, so they can enjoy time together as family, for as long as they have. Within the service there is a specialist bereavement team, who supports families pre and post bereavement, providing support at a time and in a way that is right for them. As part of this service, the befriending team of volunteers will offer support to family members, following the death of their baby, child or young person, on the phone, via Zoom and face to face .The Demelza Befriending service supports families who have been referred to, and accepted, to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
