Hesketh Bank and Tarleton Helpers
About Hesketh Bank and Tarleton Helpers
We are a small charity operating in and around the villages of Tarleton and Hesketh Bank in West Lancashire. We have a number of different projects all aiming to improve life for local people. Our befriending project is primarily targeted at older people suffering from social isolation, although we also accept referrals relating to other adults in appropriate circumstances. Following an assessment by the Volunteer Co-ordinator, clients accepted onto the scheme will be matched with a local befriender for regular face to face meetings either in the client’s home or local venue. Where appropriate, befrienders will accompany clients to coffee mornings and similar social gatherings.
