About LINK: East Fife Mental Health Adolescent Befriending Project

LINK Adolescent Befriending Project offers emotional, practical support and community integration to marginalised young people, aged 12-18 years, in East Fife , Levenmouth, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy who have become lonely and disconnected due to mental health issues. Referrals come from a range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies.

Information for Volunteers

LINK looks for the minimum of a year’s commitment from befrienders and that they can meet fortnightly for around 2 hours with a young person.Volunteers will receive training, ongoing support and supervision. There will also be personal development opportunities and group social events.Travel and out-of-pocket expenses are paid, up to a set monthly amount.
