About Queensferry Care – Befriending Project
Our befriending service allows trained volunteers to visit older people who are living alone, to offer companionship, a friendly ear and contact with the wider community. The main aim is to provide friendship and companionship. QCCC Befriending Service is provided by volunteers.
Volunteers commit to providing a home visit every fortnight.
Queensferry, Scotland, EH30 9JA
Service Eligibility
The befriending service is available to adults, age 65+ living in post code areas beginning EH28, EH29, EH30.
Information for Volunteers
The Befriending Service is available in South Queensferry, Dalmeny, Kirkliston, Ratho, Ratho Station and Newbridge.
No qualifications are necessary however, you should enjoy the company of older people and have excellent listening and conversation skills. Full training is provided.
