About Ray of Light Cancer Support

Ray of Light Cancer Support provides free social and emotional support to patients, carers, friends and families affected by cancer.  We offer a telephone and postal befriending service together with both online and face to face groups.

We provide a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space to support people affected by cancer, whilst trying to cope with daily family life.  For many this support can be a lifeline.

Service Eligibility

We cover Rhondda, Cynon, Taff, Bridgend, Barry and Cardiff and support patients, carers, friends and families affected by cancer.

Information for Volunteers

Our Volunteers offer telephone befriending support.  They also help at our Groups based in Abercynon, Velindre, Bridgend and Barry supporting beneficiaries affected by cancer.  We also hold several family events and activities throughout the year which is ideal for Volunteers that are unable to commit to offering weekly support.

We have gardening opportunities, befriending, sharing skills and fundraising.  We also have a Friends of Ray of Light who support with fundraising ideas and events.
