Skipton Step Into Action
About Skipton Step Into Action
Loneliness can affect anyone, but no one should feel alone. Our befriending services bring companionship to adults of all ages through one-to-one visits, phone calls, group activities, and social outings.
One-to-one befriending supports those who struggle to get out, with home visits from volunteers offering conversation and companionship. Telephone befriending provides regular calls to brighten the day and reduce isolation.
Accompaniment helps individuals enjoy a change of scenery with a volunteer, whether for a coffee, walk, event, or appointment.
Group activities create a welcoming space for connection. Our Nurturing Growth and Step Into Action Wellbeing Café sessions offer arts and crafts, group walks, yoga, games, and more to encourage friendships and well-being.
Whether seeking a chat, a home visit, or support getting out, our service offers companionship and connection.
