Befriending service for patients of St Barnabas House – providing companionship to help relieve isolation or boredom- assist with taking a person out for practical or social reasons- provide company while the patient’s carer takes a break for a couple for a couple of hoursVisits are generally for 2 hours on a weekly basis

Information for Volunteers

Community Companions are volunteers who visit patients in their own home on a weekly basis to provide companionship. Volunteers receive comprehensive training and we offer regular support.Commitment – 2 3 hours each week and regular support meetings
