Purpose of this event

We are grateful to Laura Gaskell of the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) who will join Befriending Networks as a guest speaker. On Tuesday 1st October 2024, 09:45 – 10:45, join us online to learn when a DBS is relative to befriending.

Not sure if your befrienders require a DBS Check? Not certain what regulated work means? Want a chance to ask questions? This event is for you.

Disclosure and Barring Service is relevant to projects operating in Northern Ireland, England and Wales. DBS will present on adult services working with age 18 or over. If you are working with children and young people, please know we will signpost to materials for younger age groups.
