“My favourite thing about today was getting the opportunity to network and share ideas with other people working in the befriending sector. Sharing best practice and new ideas that arose from various conversations.” — Networking participant, 2024
This informal networking session is aimed at supporting befriending projects working with Disabled people. This may include visual impairments, hearing impairments and more. This session is to allow attendees to share and discuss the experience of supporting volunteers, service users or staff with disabilities.
Befriending Networks offers free networking events to provide a safe and friendly space for those working within community projects to come together, network, share and compare experiences, and learn from one another. These are not training events but an opportunity for peer learning and building connections.
These events are hosted on Zoom and are free and welcome to all – members and non-members of Befriending Networks. We ask all our attendees to come online prepared to discuss with others, listen and learn. If you have a particular question or topic you would like the group to discuss, please contact the event facilitator in advance to add it to our agenda.
Please get in touch with the event facilitator, sandra@befriending.co.uk
