Purpose of this event

We will be hearing from one of our members, Befrienders Highland, how they use various methods of befriending.  Text, gaming, letter writing, email and telephone. Share with others how this is working for you or come along and learn more if you haven’t tried this before.

Befrienders Highland are a small voluntary organisation working to improve the lives of people who are experiencing mental ill health; memory loss or dementia and carers . They work with adults (aged 18 and over) who are lonely and isolated, and live within the Highland region of Scotland. Find out more about them in our directory.

What are networking events?

Befriending Networks offers free networking events to provide a safe and friendly space for those working within community projects to come together, network, share and compare experiences, and learn from one another. If you have anything you’d like to discuss, please let us know in advance of the session. 

Participation Guidance

These events are hosted on Zoom and are free and welcome to all – members and non-members of Befriending Networks. We ask all our attendees to come online prepared to discuss with others, listen and learn. If you have a particular question or topic you would like the group to discuss, please contact the event facilitator in advance to add it to our agenda.
