Purpose of this event

We have recently refreshed our Befriending Networks Quality Award.  This is the only award in the UK specifically tailored for befriending services.  Come along and hear from Hayley, our Quality in Befriending Assessor.  We will also be joined by Space@the Broomhouse Hub who will be able to share their experience of doing the award. Learn more about what is involved, and feel free to ask questions to see if it something that you would like to pursue.

Space provides children and young people aged 5 – 16 years, living citywide in Edinburgh with a volunteer befriender who will support and encourage them to explore new activities, find new interests and hobbies. Space is a Quality in Befriending Excellence Award holder.

What are networking events?

Befriending Networks offers free networking events to provide a safe and friendly space for those working within community projects to come together, network, share and compare experiences, and learn from one another. If you have anything you’d like to discuss, please let us know in advance of the session. 

Participation Guidance

These events are hosted on Zoom and are free and welcome to all – members and non-members of Befriending Networks. We ask all our attendees to come online prepared to discuss with others, listen and learn. If you have a particular question or topic you would like the group to discuss, please contact the event facilitator in advance to add it to our agenda.
