Purpose of this event

Silverline report a big increase in loneliness calls to their helpline during the holidays when many working professionals and families are away.

Come and hear how one of our members, Time to Talk Befriending, are doing creative things to alleviate loneliness during these times. Share with others what your plans are and get some new ideas for the holiday season.

Time to Talk Befriending are a relationship centered, excellence accredited, befriending service based in Sussex. They specialise in supporting older people to overcome loneliness through a range of activities from one-to-one befriending, group befriending signposting services, postal outreach, chaplaincy, and seasonal events.  Find out more about them in our directory.

What are networking events?

Befriending Networks offers free networking events to provide a safe and friendly space for those working within community projects to come together, network, share and compare experiences, and learn from one another. If you have anything you’d like to discuss, please let us know in advance of the session. 

Participation Guidance

These events are hosted on Zoom and are free and welcome to all – members and non-members of Befriending Networks. We ask all our attendees to come online prepared to discuss with others, listen and learn. If you have a particular question or topic you would like the group to discuss, please contact the event facilitator in advance to add it to our agenda.
