Journey Across Befriending 2025 Roadshow

We are delighted to launch Journey Across Befriending – our 2025 Roadshow of in-person events. 

Prior to 2020, Befriending Networks held regular in-person networking events around the UK called ‘Common Ground Meetings’.  Our members have told us that they are keen to return to some face-to-face events. Therefore, we are delighted to offer this great opportunity to meet as a network during 2025.

About the events

Locations

Our 2025 Roadshow will take place in six locations across the UK:

  • London (Tuesday 18th February)
  • York (Wednesday 12th March)
  • Glasgow (Wednesday 26th March)
  • Cardiff (Wednesday 30th April)
  • Aberdeen (Wednesday 21st May)
  • Tamworth (Wednesday 18th June)

We will be also holding two online sessions so that you can join us from anywhere in the world. If you are a member and would like to offer a venue for a future event then please let us know.

Programme

Each event begins with an optional 45-minute networking where attendees are welcome to come along and bring their own lunch…. or just share a coffee with us before we get started with the main event.

The main session will involve some lively interactive discussions around topics and themes relevant to befriending.  They will be of interest whether you are part of a long established project or just getting started. The format will be relaxed with plenty of interaction where you can gain support and insight from each other.

Each event will be hosted by one or two of the Befriending Networks staff team and co-hosted by one of our experienced member organisations.

Cost

The events are free to both members and non-members of Befriending Networks.  We will provide refreshments throughout the afternoon, but ask that you bring your own lunch if you choose to come along to that part of the session.
