100 Days until Befriending Week 1-7 November 2021

It’s 100 Day until Befriending Week 1-7 November 2021, a time to raise awareness about all the amazing things #BefriendingIs. 

To start the countdown, Befriending Networks is delighted to share this year’s resources, which can be downloaded here. These include a Resource Pack, with ideas to help you celebrate in-person or online, thank volunteers and connect with your community, Social Media graphics to light up your newsfeeds, as well as videos that share what #BefriendingIs.

As in previous years, Befriending Networks will be sharing befriending stories from its membership here on the News section of our website and on social media. If you have a story or video about how befriending has made a difference to a befriendee, volunteer or befriending match, please submit it to admin@befriending.co.uk.

The Befriending Networks Team is also busily preparing for this year’s annual conference, which will take place during Befriending Week. To find out more about last year’s conference click here, which is also where 2021 information will appear once details are confirmed.

Considering all the challenges befriending organisations and individuals experiencing loneliness have faced over the past year, it is even more important that Befriending Week be a time to raise awareness and celebrate about the impact befriending is making. Last year, there was more engagement with Befriending Week than ever before and we hope that this year the momentum continues.
