Global Intergenerational Congress: Call for papers and early bird tickets

The team at Generations Working Together are hosting the Global Intergenerational Congress. The event takes place in Glasgow, Scotland from 29 September – 1 October 2026 and will bring together international thought leaders, researchers and practitioners to explore innovative intergenerational solutions. The event will feature:
- A full three-day in-person programme
- Opportunities for networking and collaboration
- A Civic Reception
- GWT’s Intergenerational Excellence Awards Dinner and Ceilidh
The full Congress programme will be announced in the Spring.
Call for Sessions and Papers – Now Open
The Call for Sessions and Papers is officially open, with a submission deadline of 15 February 2026. The organisers are inviting contributions from researchers, practitioners, volunteers and policymakers from across the world who are passionate about advancing intergenerational practice.
Submissions are welcomed across a wide range of themes, including:
- Intergenerational approaches to education
- Homes and communities across generations
- Intergenerational climate action
- Health, wellbeing and social connection
- Research driving change
- Multi-generational workplaces
- Ageism, AI, arts and culture
- Diversity, inclusion, evaluation, policy, volunteering and youth leadership
Accepted sessions and papers will help shape a vibrant global programme focused on turning ideas into action and influencing practice, policy and research worldwide.
