“It was a very interesting session and I look forward to more.” —Networking participant, 2025
This free networking session will focus on understanding the prevalence and experience of loneliness in children and young people.
A third of young people aged 10-19 said they felt alone or lonely some of the time. (DCMS, 2025)
Girls, at age 13 and 15, are more than twice as likely to feel lonely most of the time or always, compared to boys. (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children study, 2023)
This is an opportunity for peer learning, sharing ideas and networking within a safe, supportive environment. Book your place now!
Open to all children, young people, and family befriending services and those interested in the prevention and alleviation of youth loneliness. Themes will cover social connection, children’s rights, trusted adults, and volunteer befrienders.
If you are interested in sharing your practice at this network please contact us.
