About Sky
Sky Befriending is part of Sky’s Time to Care programme, designed to reduce loneliness by providing friendly, weekly conversations for older or isolated individuals. The service offers a one‑to‑one telephone befriending call, focusing on providing a listening ear, a friendly voice and a meaningful social connection.
The Service Provides:
- Weekly friendly conversations
- Consistent pairing with the same volunteer (Pairing is subject to change at times)
- Informal chats about hobbies, memories, interests
- Not connected to Sky products or customer service
- Not a counselling or support helpline
The service also offers group telephone Befriending that brings together individuals whom have the same interests with topic driven calls with a Sky Volunteer.
