Community Linkage Project. Connecting volunteers and community groups to nursing homes. This pilot women’s health initiative targeting nursing homes in Roscommon & Leitrim over an 18 month period. The initiative seeks to bring services and supports which are available to women living in the community into the nursing home setting, and to co-ordinate volunteering supports to nursing home residents to address social isolation and loneliness.
Service Eligibility
The objective of the pilot is to address the health and wellbeing needs of older women in nursing home settings, especially those experiencing social isolation.
