Age UK Merton
About Age UK Merton
Age UK Merton Befriending Service has been supporting the older people of Merton for many years and is the first Age UK in the country to be awarded the Quality in Befriending mark.
We offer both face to face and telephone befriending from our dedicated volunteers across the borough of Merton.
The service has an emphasis is on reducing social isolation, by providing weekly visits or calls and helping people feel more connected to their community. We support people where appropriate, to reconnect with their  local community by taking short walks and empowering people to become more independent.
