Are you lonely? Would you like to meet a new friend ? Have you got a good listening ear ? If so we need you, come and join our volunteers at Age UK NYCM where we will match you up with a new friend who you can visit once a week for a chat and a cuppa or maybe a walk, in the Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and Ryedale area, you don’t need any qualifications you just need to be friendly, open minded and chatty if this sounds like you get in touch with Tracey Armstrong on 01723 379058 or email tracey.armstrong@ageuknycm.org.uk.

Service Eligibility
Anyone over the age of 50 who lives alone and is socially isolated can be supported by the Gift of Friendship project if you live in the Scarborough, Filey, Ryedale and Whitby area. To make a referral call 01723 379058 and ask for Tracey Armstrong
Information for Volunteers
To visit clients who may be experiencing isolation and loneliness and offer support and companionship. You will also support and encourage individuals to participate in the community. The role can be based across Scarborough, Filey, Whitby and Ryedale
