About BrightLife/Age Concern Chesterfield and District

BrightLife Age Concern Chesterfield and District has run a Telephone Befriending Service for many years.  The Telephone Befriending Service is supported by our dedicated team of volunteers who are supervised by the coordinator.  We work 4 days a week from our offices in the centre of Chesterfield.  Our befrienders work on the same day each week so that they can telephone the same people each week.  This gives the befrienders and the beneficiaries the opportunity to get to know each other.  We telephone older people in Chesterfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.

South Lodge Boythorpe Avenue, Chesterfield, Derbyshre S40 2BF,

Service Eligibility

Brightlife offers a Telephone Befriend Support Service to older people (55 yrs +) who live Chesterfield, Bolsover and N E Derbyshire who are lonely and/or isolated.

Unfortunately,  we are unable to offer Telephone Befriending to older people with complex mental health needs as our volunteers are not trained to offer this type of support.

Please email enquiries@brightlife.charity for a referral form.
