Information for Volunteers
Caraidean Uibhist was formed in 2003 out of a local need to tackle loneliness and isolation in the Uist community (Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist and Berneray). Since then that need has not diminished however our organisation has grown and developed to better tackle loneliness and isolation in all its forms. Today we have service users from each of the island communities mentioned as well as a growing number of volunteers. Our aim is to effectively match volunteers and service users who grow to develop close relationships, improving the quality of life for both parties.
