About CHEER Elmbridge
CHEER is a well-respected local charity supporting older people in Elmbridge, Surrey. Our mission is to provide advice, friendship and support to help older people lead full, dignified and independent lives in their own homes. With our befriending service, clients receive weekly visits from a volunteer to give them a vital link with someone to reduce loneliness and social isolation and improve wellbeing. CHEER’s befriending volunteers often take their friends out to social events too to help them feel part of the community.

We offer several different volunteer roles: befrienders, home assessment volunteers and volunteers who help with social events. Please note that we only operate in the borough of Elmbridge, Surrey.
