About Community Care and Wellbeing Service
CCAWS is a mental health and wellbeing charity that delivers support services across Cardiff’s diverse communities. Our befriending service offers telephone based social support and some face to face meetings as well. Befrienders will contact you by your preferred method and each session will last for up to an hour. Anyone aged 18 plus can access our befriending service. The service is run by volunteers, many of whom speak additional languages.

Information for Volunteers
CCAWS is a mental health and wellbeing charity that delivers support services across Cardiff’s diverse communities. Our befriending service offers telephone and face to face befriending to people who may be feeling lonely, isolated and just want someone to talk to, whom they can trust in confidence. Volunteers should be able to commit to at least one hour a week, and be willing to complete our induction training.
