About Cowal Elderly Befrienders SCIO
Cowal Elderly Befriending Scheme offers a range of befriending services to elderly people in rural areas. Services offered include 1-2-1 visiting, peer-befriending minibus outings using wheelchair accessible minibuses, dementia support, telephone befriending, community involvement.

Service Eligibility
To be eligible to receive our Befriending Services clients should be:
- over 65
- experiencing isolation or loneliness in some form that has been identified as affecting quality of life
- living in Cowal and Bute.
Information for Volunteers
Our volunteers help older people by assisting with our peer-befriending community outings and offering 1-2-1 visiting support.
