Grassington Hub

About Grassington Hub

Grassington Hub Befriending Service harnesses local people’s practicality, generosity and strong sense of community to reduce the social isolation experienced by vulnerable local people. Our friendly befrienders provide conversation and companionship, by phone calls, home visits, a short walk, and perhaps a visit to a local café.

Information for Volunteers

Our volunteers provide a friendly listening ear, and companionship to vulnerable adults. We provide many additional services e.g. lunch clubs, men’s shed, well being café, library and community cinema, all of which we deliver with the aim of reducing or alleviating rural social isolation. We are always looking for volunteers for these roles, which include drivers, cooks, listeners, administrators, group leaders, and general helpers.
