The Irish Elderly Advice Network’s Befriending service helps tackle loneliness and isolation by matching older Irish people in London with volunteers who have friendly conversations with them over the phone or meet up with them in person at our social events.

Information for Volunteers
We are looking for friendly volunteers to make weekly calls to older Irish people in the London area.
Time commitment is no more than one hour per week. We require that you are over 18 and living in the London area
Skills required:
Good listening skills; confident to make conversation
Sensitive, empathetic and patient
Able to use initiative and have good common sense
Reliable and committed
