Information for Volunteers

As a mentor, you will offer one-to-one support to a young carer aged 10 – 18 over a period of 6 – 12 months. The aim is to empower young carers to set goals and build a positive sense of identity outside of their caring role by meeting up once a fortnight in public places. Young carers are young people under the age of 18 who are caring for someone in the family home. Training is provided and you will get reimbursement for fun activities.
