About LINK: East Fife Mental Health Befriending Project
LINK Mental Health Befriending Project offers emotional, practical support and community integration to people aged 12-18 years, in East Fife , Levenmouth, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy and aged 18-65 in East Fife, Levenmouth and Glenrothes who have become lonely and disconnected due to mental health issues. Referrals come from a range of statutory and voluntary sector agencies.Service Eligibility
People isolated because of a mental health condition, aged 12-65 in the East Fife, Levenmouth, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy (adolescent service only).

Wonderful and rewarding opportunity to help a small but mighty Fife charity!
Befrienders: LINK looks for the minimum of a year’s commitment from befrienders and that they can meet fortnightly for around 2 hours. Volunteers will receive training, ongoing support and supervision. There will also be personal development opportunities and group social events. Travel and out-of-pocket expenses are paid, up to a set monthly amount.
Treasurer: prepare and present financial reports
ensure appropriate accounting procedures are in place
advise on financial implications of strategic plans
monitor investment activity and ensure consistency with policies and legal responsibilities
ensure compliance with legislation
The board meets 10 times a year (first Thursday of the month). Out of pocket expenses are available
