About Linking Lives Eastbourne
Linking Lives Eastbourne sparks friendship and connection within the local community. We are a befriending scheme with the aim of reducing loneliness and improving health and wellbeing for people over 70 who are living alone; matching them with volunteer befrienders who build connection through visiting, telephone chats or going to community activities.

We accept referrals from people over the age of 70 who are living alone and within the Eastbourne area.

Information for Volunteers
Linking Lives Eastbourne is a befriending scheme, training and connecting volunteers from local churches with adults over the age of 70 who live alone, in the Eastbourne area, and are experiencing loneliness or loss of connection. Our volunteers follow a safe recruitment process, all have an enhanced DBS in place. Options are face to face befriending visits at home, telephone befriending, or meetups and outings. Volunteers will usually stay matched to the same Link friend.
