The Wellbeing Service provides person centred support to people living with sight loss and people caring for a loved one with sight loss, regardless of age. We aspire to ensure those living with sight loss and their families feel supported, have capacity to manage, and develop strategies that allow them to reach their full potential.

Information for Volunteers

You’ll be working as part of a Scotland-wide team of befriending volunteers. You’ll be assigned to one of our volunteer managers within the Community Services team. This person will be your named key contact on our staff team, with responsibility for checking in with you regularly, supporting you, and overseeing your involvement as a volunteer.

Do I need any previous experience for this role?
This role is all about meeting up with people in person, so it is important you are confident chatting to people generally and meeting people for the first time.
