Information for Volunteers
Space @ The Broomhouse Hub is a Scottish Award nominated Charity organisation delivering diverse services supporting young people, families, older people and carers amongst others engaging with local people more than 34,000 times last year. The Broomhouse Centre was born in 1991, more than 30 years on, we now have a new community hub building but still with local community groups and trustees at our core.
No experience necessary – the qualities we are looking for in a befriender are someone who is kind, caring, compassionate and a positive role model for children and young people.
Training Details: One full day’s training will be held at Space Broomhouse Hub covering a range of topics relevant to the befriending role. Once training is completed all befrienders will be supported by an allocated Project Worker throughout their befriending journey.
