About Together Co

We match people for a range of befriending services to help people to connect with other people and their community.  We believe that in a city of nearly 300,000, no one should be lonely or socially isolated.

We offer:

  • Face-to-face befriending, either through home visits or local walks or trips to coffee shops etc;
  • Telephone befriending, a friendly call with the same person each week;
  • Group befriending, through local social groups run monthly across the city;
  • Short term befriending, usually with a goal in mind such as attending a group together or improving social confidence;
  • We also run pilot projects such as connection through letter writing and befriending with animals through Paws to Connect.

Projects The Lanes, Nile House, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1HW

Information for Volunteers

Everyone belongs at Together Co.  We understand that life can be very busy, which is why we have designed our volunteering opportunities to flex around everyday life, whether you are looking to help out occasionally, more frequently, at home, or in the community.  Volunteering with us will help you to build and share your skills and experience.  It’s also a great way to meet new friends, or to introduce you to new and exciting opportunities.

All the details to apply are on our website.  It’s a simple form and then we’ll ask you for an informal chat.  After that we just need two references and if you’re going to be meeting someone in their home we take up a DBS check.  We train people together in our offices in Brighton and once you’re up and running we have regular get togethers so you can feel part of our volunteer community.

Do say hello – we look forward to hearing from you!
