About Shetland Befriending Scheme
Shetland Befriending Scheme offers befriending on a 1:1 basis to children from aged 7 years, young people and adults aged 16+ years who need support to engage in the community in a positive capacity.

Children aged 7-15 years, 16+ Adults and people affected by dementia
Information for Volunteers
Volunteers must provide regular commitment either weekly or fortnightly for a few hours at a time over a minimum 6 month period. Volunteers are matched to a service user on a 1:1 basis to support them to engage in activities within their own local community.
