Time to Talk is a befriending service for residents of Surrey Heath, Runnymede & Spelthorne. We support people of any age experiencing loneliness and isolation. This is a free service run by trained volunteers who give their time to help keep people company. If you have been feeling lonely and would like someone to visit you, please get in touch. You may be in need of someone to come and spend time with you at home or take you on an outing. We look forward to hearing from you.

We will support anyone over the age of 18 that is feeling lonely or isolated. We cover the Surrey Heath, Runnymede and Spethorne area.
Information for Volunteers
Please think about giving just one hour a week to support Time to Talk. Your time could make a real difference to people experiencing loneliness in the Surrey Heath, Runnymede, and Spelthorne areas. We’re building a team of volunteer befrienders who offer companionship and conversation to those who need it most.
Befriending has a valuable positive effect on lives. As a volunteer you will not only brighten someone’s day, you will meet new people, learn new skills and make a difference in your community.
Befriending is a flexible volunteering role, which can fit around other commitments. Volunteers are trained, supported and well matched with people with similar interests. All you need to be a befriender is friendliness, reliability and an ability to listen. We look forward to hearing from you.
