Walthew House
About Walthew House
Walthew House is delighted to have received funding for an 18 month pilot project to provide personalised one-on-one support for individuals with sight loss through a befriending scheme. ‘VI 1:1’ will deliver person centred support tailored to individual needs to enhance quality of life and foster greater independence. This could include a befriender providing support at home for individuals with sight loss facing mobility issues or mental health challenges that prevent them from leaving their home. Practical assistance could also be offered, such as help with food shopping, reading mail, accompaniment to activities, telephone calls, and assistance with technology.
