About Warminster Action Group
WAG isn’t just a charity. It’s a proper community lifeline. We’re local, grassroots, and built on kindness, connection, and showing up for people when it matters most.
Feeling lonely can happen to anyone, and that’s why we’re here. Our befriending service connects volunteers who are ready to chat and make friends with those who might feel alone.
What do we do? It’s simple. Our friendly volunteers give a weekly phone call or visit to share a chat, swap stories, and lend a listening ear. This can help brighten up someone’s day, bring back confidence, and make life a little more enjoyable.
It’s not about offering help with tasks or medical advice – we’re just here for a friendly chat and to make sure no one feels alone. Whether you prefer a phone call or a face-to-face visit, our befriending service is here to bring a touch of warmth and companionship into your life.
