Purpose of course

Boundaries within befriending can cover a lot of ground as it overflows into topics of Safeguarding, Risk Management and Support and Supervision. It is an important topic and applicable to the staff, volunteers, service users and third parties of a project. Join the session to build your confidence in how to embed boundaries, how to handle boundaries when broken and more.

Learning Objectives Include:

• To examine the purpose of boundaries within befriending
• To distinguish methods for communicating boundaries to stakeholders
• To create a boundary agreement for your befriending matches
• To review staff capacity and staff boundaries
• To identify reasons boundaries may be broken and construct methods to minimise risk

Resources and Additional Support

Attendees with gain access to our Boundaries Delegate Pack with a range of resources and guidance to support further learning. This includes tutorial videos, templates for constructing policies and procedures for boundaries, and more. All participants will also be invited to submit their Boundary Agreement for a free consultation with Befriending Networks. Recommendations for improvement will be provided as appropriate.

Certificate of Completion

All participants of Vital Skills have the opportunity to earn a certificate of attendance by completing the summative assessment to evidence their learning on the course.
