Together Co – we really do talk about everything

Together Co – Are a people-powered charity that creates connections to change all our lives for the better. You’ll find them working directly in Brighton and Hove. They’ve been supporting people to make life-changing connections for more than twenty years and they’ll keep doing so until everyone has someone they can count on.
Silmore
After his wife passed away, Silmore was put in touch with Together Co to keep him company. He’s now been a member of ours for more than 15 years, and is a much-loved part of our befriending scheme. Silmore has had a number of befrienders over the years and credits Together Co for getting him through one of the most difficult times in his life.
“Together Co really has been such a lifeline for me. I’ve had a few people come and visit me over time, and we really do talk about everything.
“As well as talking, I would get some help with writing letters and cards and things before coronavirus came along, but that’s stopped for now. “During lockdown, I spoke on the telephone to a new man who’s lovely. I once told Sean (Together Co’s manager of befriending until his retirement in February 2020) that if it were up to me he would have a knighthood. He really was an angel.
“Everyone over the years really has been wonderful, and even as they’ve left the service, I’m still in touch with a couple of them.”
