Top tips for supporting neurodiversity in your team
5th June 2025
Volunteering should be for everyone, so we’ve just launched a new resource to help you create a neuro-inclusive environment for your befriending team.
Our new how-to guide, Supporting Neurodiversity in your Volunteer Team, gives you an introduction to neurodiversity and suggestions for how to build neuro-inclusivity into every stage of the volunteer journey. It gives top tips for:
- Advertising volunteer roles
- Designing the application process
- Conducting interviews
- Running training
- Providing ongoing support and supervision
It also signposts to other resources for further guidance on best practice. We hope you find it helpful!

We’ll also be joined by our wonderful co-hosts, Bolton Adult Autism Support. Book your spot today.
