Handling Personal Data

Join us for this practical one-hour masterclass designed to help charities and community projects strengthen their data protection practices with confidence.

Hear from data protection trainer and consultant Frank Rankin as he shares essential guidance, practical tips, and real-world insights to help you manage personal data responsibly and meet your obligations under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Participants will discuss:

Data protection responsibilities for a charity under the UK GDPR.
Practical safeguards in handling the personal data of volunteers and service users.
Appropriate use of data in referral processes.
Do’s and don’ts of communications and marketing.

Who should attend this event?

This event is designed for coordinators, managers, and anyone involved in collecting and storing data within an organisation. This can include, but is not limited to, referral forms for befriending, volunteer application forms, and reporting on delivery of service.

Cancellation Policy

Please check your diary before committing to any dates. We understand that your circumstances may require a change of training dates. If you need to cancel or defer your order:

Up to 3 working days before the course begins: your order will be refunded, subject to a £15 administration fee. Alternatively, you can defer your order to the next occurrence of the same course.
Within 3 working days of the course beginning, including non-attendance: your order is non-refundable and cannot be deferred.

Please note that all courses operate with a minimum number of delegates. If this number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event. Your event facilitator will contact you to discuss options. In such cases where we cannot fulfil your order, a full refund will be given.
