Befrienders Highland reaccredited with Excellence Award

We’re delighted to announce the most recent reaccreditation for the Excellence Award, Befrienders Highland!
Befrienders Highland support adults (18+) who are lonely and isolated due to their mental ill health or memory loss. Support is offered one-to-one as well as in groups through their group befriending. In-person support is offered in certain areas of the Highlands. In other areas, people can be matched and supported by phone, letter, email, gaming and video calls.
Befrienders Highland have been Quality in Befriending Award Excellence holders since 2013. The service was spoken of very warmly by the people interviewed and was clearly valued and needed by the people accessing the service. The interviewees spoke about the personal touches and attention paid to the people accessing and providing the service.
