It’s Befriending Week! 🎉

Befriending Week 2025 is here! From 1 – 7 November, communities across the UK and beyond will be gathering in person and online to celebrate befriending and raise awareness about its positive impacts. We have a fantastic programme of events, blogs, podcasts and ways to celebrate lined up. Here’s what you can expect this week:
- Events and celebrations from our members. Find projects near you in the befriending directory.
- Our Annual Conference an AGM on Wednesday 5 November, with an inspiring programme of speakers, member-led sessions and peer learning opportunities.
- The Befriending Week Cable Car Experience in London, running from Monday 3 to Friday 7 November. Soar over the Thames as you chat with new people and enjoy the view!
- Two Being a Befriender events for volunteers, to celebrate your contribution and meet like-minded people.
- A new e-learning minicourse for volunteers about creating social connections.
- Seven case studies showcasing befriending in action, from member of Befriending Networks
- Two podcasts about collaboration and community voice (with Rachel Nixseaman of Deciding Matters) and the Quality in Befriending Award (with Caroline Hanks of London Irish Centre)
- Guest blogs from the Big Lunch, Rainbow Communities and Neighbourly Lab, exploring collaboration and connection
