Purpose of this event

This session will, through peer supportive discussion, explore your plans for recognising and celebrating your volunteers ahead of Volunteers Week 2026 and to consider opportunities to raise the profile of befriending throughout the Month of Community.  Share your challenges, successes, and experiences in a safe and supported environment, facilitated by our CEO.

What is the Leaders & Managers Network?

These informal sessions are supportive opportunities to discuss all things surrounding the leadership and management of befriending services. Regular attendance at these sessions is an excellent way to build up your connections and collaborate with leaders and managers within the sector. This network is for you if you have leadership responsibilities which might include: line managing staff, fundraising, strategy and planning, workforce development, evaluation and impact, or overall service design and management.

Participation Guidance

These events are hosted on Zoom and are free and open to members of Befriending Networks. We ask all our attendees to come online prepared to discuss with others, listen and learn. If you have a particular question or topic you would like the group to discuss, please contact the event facilitator in advance to add it to our agenda.
