Shetland Befriending Scheme reaccredited with Quality Award

We’re delighted to announce our most recent reaccreditation for the Quality Award, Shetland Befriending Scheme!
Shetland Befriending Scheme, hosted by Voluntary Action Shetland, are a befriending service who support children and young people, adults experiencing loneliness and isolation, and people with dementia who are aged 60+. They also provide group activities, such as boat trips and Christmas meals, as well as a regular tea and cake get together for all.
Their assessment demonstrated a warm, community-minded and caring organisation, which is highly valued by the community. Our Assessor Hayley also enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about providing a befriending service in a small, remote community.
