On the road again! Updates from our Journey Across Befriending

We’ve officially set off on our Journey Across Befriending Roadshow, with events in London and online getting us off to a great start.
London Roadshow
Our Membership Services Officer, Sandra, had a great time at the London event, which took place at the London Irish Centre.
Our Roadshow got off to a great start on Tuesday 18th February with 27 of us connecting for an afternoon of networking. We received a warm Irish welcome from our Quality Award members London Irish Centre.
After a time of networking over lunch we had time to discuss interesting topics whilst sharing challenges and ideas as a network. There was plenty of lively interaction and everyone who came loved the ‘in person’ experience with them asking “When is the next one?”
At the session, attendees explored a variety of topics related to befriending, sharing their experiences and thoughts to come up with solutions to common challenges. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and our brilliant co-hosts!

Online Roadshow
We were also delighted to welcome people from all four nations of the UK to an online session on 5th March. It was great hearing the enthusiasm of people picking up new ideas from each other to take back to their projects. Thanks to our wonderful online attendees!

Up next
The Journey Across Befriending Roadshow brings people working in befriending projects together to connect, learn from each other and celebrate the transformative power of befriending. It is our first programme of in-person events since the pandemic.

- Glasgow on Wednesday 26th March (co-hosted with The No.1 Befriending Agency)
- Cardiff on Wednesday 30th April (co-hosted with Age Cymru)

- Aberdeen on Wednesday 21st May (co-hosted with Befriend a Child)
- Tamworth on Wednesday 18th June (co-hosted with Community Together CIC)
