Purpose of Course

As an organisation, you will strive to ensure a safe and competent befriending project. To guarantee our befrienders understand the paperwork and processes in place, we must translate our jargon, delivery and style into an accessible format. By attending Policies and Procedures for Befrienders, participants will discuss good practice for communicating your infrastructure with befrienders and motivating them to actively engage and follow your policies and procedures.

Discussion Points Include

Policies and Procedures for a safe and competent, good practice service
How to introduce and communicate policies and procedures with befrienders
How to utilise design to enhance content and engagement
Sample policies and procedures from members of the network
Template policies and procedures from Befriending Networks
Shared experience and networking

Resources and Additional Support

All attendees will gain access to the course delegate pack, where Befriending Networks will share presentation slides, good practice examples from members, good practice templates and guidance to support the creation of materials for befrienders.

Cancellation Policy

Please check your diary before committing to any dates. We understand that your circumstances may require a change of training dates. If you need to cancel or defer your order:

Up to 48 hours before the course begins: your order will be refunded, subject to a £15 administration fee. Alternatively, you can defer your order to the next occurrence of the same course.
Within 48 hours of the course beginning, including non-attendance: your order is non-refundable and cannot be deferred.

Please note that all courses operate with a minimum number of delegates. If this number is not obtained, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event date. Your event facilitator will contact you to discuss options. In such cases where we cannot fulfil your order, a full refund will be given. You can contact the facilitator of your event, or victoria@befriending.co.uk to discuss your booking.
